Dunn Inn Resort

We stayed at Dunn Inn Resort in August and absolutely loved it! Beautiful, peaceful lakefront cabin that was very clean and spacious. The owner, Carol, was extremely hospitable and provided us with anything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Small playground, paddleboat, and lake with shallow sandy lake bottom kept our 2 boys (ages 6 & 4) entertained for hours. The cabin was close to Michigan Adventure amusement park which was a great day trip. We highly recommend staying at Dunn Inn Resort!! Jeff & Yvonne Rule

My husband and I came to Fremont to visit our daughter and her husband who had just relocated to Fremont from Europe. We are so glad that we found Dunn Inn and its owners, Carol and Brian! The cabins and the resort are meticulous. We had a very comfortable, off-season, 5 day stay in our well-stocked cabin. The water in the lake is sandy bottomed and crystal clear. It was a delight to wake up to the sunrise over the lake each morning. The water was so inviting, my husband even took two plunges despite the freezing weather! Carol and Brian are excellent hosts, always ready to offer help. Brian even recommended nearby Branstrom Park for my husband who is a competitive runner. We can’t thank you enough and we look forward to our next stay at Dunn Inn Resort!

We have stayed 2 winter seasons at Dunn Inn. The cabins are always very clean and comfortable and well stocked with kitchen items. The location is great to be right on the lake and yet close to the great town of Fremont. Beautiful sunrises!! Brian and Carol are great hosts, taking care of anything needed right away. We even had the opportunity to do some ice fishing right outside the cabin. Our grandchildren loved coming there and playing on the playground and in the sand in the early spring. I’m sure the summer months are so much fun swimming with the nice sandy bottom Fremont Lake and all the water sports that can be done. Great place to make wonderful family memories! We were grateful to be able to have a comfortable place to stay as we built our home.

My husband and I stayed here in the off season months and it was BEAUTIFUL. Dunn Inn is an amazing place to stay. It is so peaceful, and the owners ( Carol and Brian) are really nice, they make you feel like your part of the family. The other family's that were staying at the cabins were also very friendly. The cabin that we stayed in (#4) was a very nice and cozy cabin with plenty of space to move around. Beautiful views from the big picture window (in the front room) looking towards the lake. It was really nice to sit by the window and look out at the lake and watch the sunrise, drinking a cup of coffee in the mornings. Carol and Brian you guys do such an amazing job keeping your resort up to date,, and clean both inside and out. Thank you very much Carol and Brian for an amazing couple of months!!!

We have lived in Fremont for many years and have not taken advantage of the offerings of Dunn Inn Resort until this past summer of COVID-19. We were delighted to discover that the owners, Brian and Carol Frens, had availability for us over Father's Day. Our daughter, son-in-law and grown grandchildren joined us for various days of fun and family time. The resort offers a little slice of lake living in a beautiful, peaceful atmosphere where each cabin has its own lakefront. All utensils and cooking facilities are provided and the owners go the extra mile to ensure that each family's needs are met. We enjoyed it so much that we came back for another fun week in August and have already booked two more weeks for 2021!

I stayed at the Dunn Inn Resort in October for a clinical rotation at Gerber Hospital. My initial housing for the rotation fell through at the last minute and I needed a place to stay. I found the Dunn Inn online and called Carol, and she was so kind and helpful and made me feel welcome. I was able to be within 5 minutes of the hospital, and the cabin was comfortable and quiet for studying when I was there. There was plenty of space, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything I could possibly need! It was cozy and cute and I enjoyed my stay there so much that I hope to come back in the future for leisure! Thank you so much to Carol and Brian, who communicated with me the whole time I was there and checked in frequently to make sure I didn't need anything. I will be back! :)

This five-star family resort tucked away on Fremont Lake is a real gem. So happy we had the opportunity to stay the week and enjoy the charming 1940's cottage, updated with modern conveniences. I worked remote in the mornings, sitting on the cabin porch, overlooking the lake and all the families boating, jet skiing and kayaking. In the afternoon we went for a swim on the private beach and sat on the docks at sunset enjoying a glass of wine, grateful for the day. We booked a week for summer 2024 - and can't wait to be back - this time without my laptop!

I stayed here over the off season this year, and it was great. Carol and Brian were so kind and helpful, working with me in any way I needed. The resort itself is also great. The cabin was clean and homey. The lake was great, I was there during cold weather but I bet it would be amazing for any summer visitors. It's a perfect location. And if you need a place in the off season, they are great hosts and great people.
